Should my parents come with me to England?
We strongly recommend you go by yourself. This is the beginning of your a new part in your life and the journey is part of it as it is also part of growing up to travel alone.
It is better for your parents to let you settle and then come to visit once you already adjusted and finally arrived in your new home.
In case your parents insist on coming with you it is very important that you still hadle all the things in University by yourself. All other students will be on their own and you would be the only one with a parent. Consider how that makes you look.
Will flying home for the holidays interfere with my studies?
The University offers several weeks of vacation in the most important holidays like Christmas, Easter and summer, where the student may visit his family and friends. Most employers are also quite flexible regarding vacation.
However, you should bare mind the cost of the journey and remember that although you are not using your room during this period it will continue to have to be paid.

All students from EU countries no not need a Visa.

When should I book my ticket?
We recommend you purchase your ticket as soon as possible. That is because the earlier you book it the cheaper it will be.
When should I book my trip for?
We recommend that students book their flights for two months before classes begin. This allows you to get comfortable with your new surrounding, the language and find a job so that when classes start you are all set.
How do I get from the airport to my flat/dorm?
Most airports have trains connected. So before you choose the airport you go to as there may be several options, you should consider which flights are more economical and there may be a better connection. If you already come close to the final destination you may as well take a taxi to get to your new home.
Another option is to contact former students of ours who then may pick you up at the airport or the trainstation and then take you to your house.
What airline should I choose to book my ticket?
It is entirely up to you to book your ticket and organize your trip. We recommend that you consider different airlines and airports with reference to the cost. There are low cost airlines like Ryanair and Easy Jet where the prices are more competitive but they do not fly to every airport.
